COME TO TERMS WITH ELEMENTS OF INDIAN DANCE
What is it?
Kathak, which means storyteller, is a North Indian classical dance form, in which the dancer attempts to tell a story. Kathak originates from Katha- the art of storytelling. It appears that a class of professional storytellers has existed from ancient times- they used to sing, dance and even act while telling a story and thus evolved Kathak, the dance form.
